We have found that focused private equity investing in emerging markets provides the most attractive opportunities, and that access to deal flow is crucial to success. As such, DeaLab Group focus is on Southeast Asia where our management have a long history of involvement in a range of transactions.
In recent years we have been able to consider and execute a number of transactions that were either presented exclusively to us or were offered to only a very limited number of private equity firms.
We do believe however, that is important to maintain a global reach, as it helps us to assist our investment partners in sourcing add-on acquisition opportunities, where diversifying into new markets and outsourcing operations can help reduce costs and hence improve returns.
This principally resulted from our relationships with major investment banks and family offices, our network of senior advisors, our leading position in corporate partnership transactions, and our track record in arranging acquisitions of large cap-companies. Furthermore, we understand the importance of traditional relationships within family offices as well as vertical and horizontal business structures.
